On December 8, 2025, FlightSuite took the stage at the Co-Lab at UNC Charlotte Center City alongside four other startups to showcase what we'd built during seven weeks of intensive mentorship, investor access, and business development support.
We were one of five companies selected from more than 40 applicants for the gBETA Charlotte program, a no-equity accelerator backed by gener8tor and the city of Charlotte.
What is gBETA Charlotte?
gBETA is a free, seven-week accelerator for early-stage companies with local roots. Unlike many programs, gBETA takes no equity. The program provides weekly accountability sessions, mentorship from experienced founders and investors, and direct access to Charlotte's growing entrepreneurial network.
The program builds on gALPHA Charlotte, a shorter venture-creation program that helps entrepreneurs pressure-test concepts before transitioning into gBETA for growth and investor readiness.
"The program opened up my mindset to be able to think bigger."— Fitzgerald Light, as quoted in Charlotte Business Journal
Before gBETA, I was focused on helping individual sales reps save time on CRM data entry. The mentorship and investor conversations pushed me to think about how FlightSuite could transform how entire organizations interact with their CRM systems and target enterprise clients.
The Fall 2025 Cohort
We were honored to go through the program alongside four other incredible Charlotte-based startups:
FlightSuite.ai
AI-powered CRM automation that eliminates manual data entry and automates sales follow-ups.
Touio
Simplifies IoT deployments by making connected devices easier to build and manage.
Troodie
Connects restaurants with content creators and tracks influencer marketing ROI.
Codd AI
Generative AI for instant analysis of structured and unstructured business data.
OpenScope Health
Intelligent symptom evaluation to guide patients to the right care efficiently.

What We Learned
The seven weeks were intense. Here's what stood out:
- Think bigger, faster. The mentors pushed us to expand our vision. What could FlightSuite become if we targeted enterprise teams instead of just individual reps?
- Investor readiness is a skill. Learning to communicate our value proposition clearly and concisely made every conversation more productive.
- Community matters. Having four other founders going through the same challenges created accountability and support that's hard to find elsewhere.
- Charlotte believes in its startups. The city's investment in programs like gBETA shows a real commitment to building an ecosystem where founders can scale locally.
The Impact So Far
City leaders say the investment is already translating to measurable results. The first two gBETA cohorts have raised more than $820,000 in capital and created more than 50 jobs since the program launched less than a year ago.
"Entrepreneurship is probably one of the key aspects in the growth of a city when you can raise the capital. And what this program does is make sure that you're properly equipped to receive the capital and to also make sure that you grow responsibly."— Shahid Rana, Director of Economic Development, City of Charlotte
What's Next
Graduating from gBETA was just the beginning. We're using the momentum and connections from the program to:
- Expand our CRM integrations (HubSpot is now live)
- Target enterprise sales teams
- Build partnerships with CRM consultants and agencies
- Work toward our goal of helping 1,000 businesses automate their CRM
If you're a founder in Charlotte considering an accelerator, I'd highly recommend applying to gBETA. The network, mentorship, and accountability are worth it.
